The Customer Service Specialist will play a pivotal role in providing excellent service to taxpayers in our Lebanon Tax Office.  As the first point of contact for walk-in taxpayers, you will handle inquiries about their accounts and taxes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage with taxpayers through personal interactions.
  • Utilize your knowledge of various tax types, demonstrating your proficiency in tax related matters.
  • Showcase your ability to handle administrative tasks, such as modifying address changes and creating new accounts in our applications.
  • Process payments for multiple tax types efficiently and accurately.
  • Master the art of documenting thorough and detailed memos in our taxpayer service applications.
  • Take ownership as an office key holder, contributing to the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Manage end-of-day tasks, including FedEx drop offs, to ensure timely processing of payments and essential documents.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Engage with taxpayers via the phone and support the call center.
  • Accurately and attentively complete detailed tasks, showcasing your commitment to precision.
  • Stay updated on changes in daily responsibilities and job processes.

Job Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related business major is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a call center is preferred.

  • Demonstrate exceptional listening skills and a keen ability to retain knowledge.
  • Proficient computer skills and a willingness to learn new applications.
  • Demonstrated research skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
